One of the UK's most accomplished broadcasters is back home at Xfm...

Mary Anne Hobbs is a considered one of the finest and most challenging DJs on earth. Her journeys through dubstep, UK funky, minimal techno, deep house and electronica are vital, thrilling and completely unique.

Mary Anne recently worked with film director Darren Aronofsky on the soundtrack for his Oscar winning movie Black Swan, and she is set to expand her work in sound design for film. She also creates her own ghetto road movies at www.youtube.com/maryannehobbstv

In 2011 Mary Anne curates at Bloc festival in the UK and Nowa Muzyka festival in Poland, as well as touring America, Japan and Europe.

She may even write an autobiography detailing her wild adventures though print journalism, TV and radio over the last 25 years, since she ran away to London and lived on a bus in a carpark with a hard rock band called Heretic.

She can ride any motorcycle you care to park in front of her, and dreams of becoming a stunt girl for Quentin Tarantino.

Mary Anne helms Music:Response every evening Monday to Thursday and presents her own pioneering dance show on Saturday nights.
