Ryan Wheeler: Third man charged over fatal road crash in Milngavie

A third man has been arrested and charged following a fatal road crash last year.

Ryan Wheeler, 21, died at the scene of the three-vehicle collision in Milngavie's Auchenhowie Road, East Dunbartonshire, on 26 February 2023.

The crash involved a Skoda Superb, Audi A4 and a Ford Tourneo Classic.

Mr Wheeler, from Maryhill in Glasgow, was a rear seat passenger in the Skoda.

The 19-year-old male driver of the Skoda and a 16-year-old female passenger were both seriously injured in the incident, but were later discharged from hospital.

The occupants of the Audi and Ford were uninjured.

In an update on Sunday, Police Scotland said a 20-year-old man had been charged with alleged road traffic offences and will appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 18 and 24, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear in court at a later date.
