Interpol To Play Special Xfm Show In London

added 07 February 2011 at 00.48

The band are to perform a one-off date in March...

Interpol will play the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on March 23rd. The show, which was announced by guitarist Daniel Kessler on the Xfm Breakfast Show this morning, will be recorded exclusively for broadcast on Xfm’s O2 Evening Show, with Steve Harris.

"We're really excited," guitarist Daniel Kessler told Xfm. "Shepherd's Bush Empire is a tremendous venue and we haven't played there for something like eight years. The first time we played there was before 'Turn On The Bright Lights' came out, supporting Cornelius. We were pretty wide eyed about the opportunity to perform there, so it's going to be great playing there again."

Currently touring North America, Interpol will release new single 'Lights' on March 21, through Soft Limit / Co-Operative Music as a digital download only.
