Suede: "We'll Probably Carry On Next Year"

The band confirmed to Xfm that the reunion will continue....

Following their reunion earlier this year (although without Bernard Butler) Suede have been vague about how long fans can expect to see them around - and if any new material is on the horizon.

Their recent run of live dates culminated in a massive gig at the O2 Arena last week, which was widely reported as being the decider of if they would continue.

Speaking as they were confirmed as the Secret Special Guest for the London leg of Xfm's Winter Wonderland with Cuervo Tequila Brett from the band was enigmatic about if we can expect a new Suede album:

"To be honest we haven't really thought about new stuff at all, the dust hasn't settled yet and I'm still slightly braindead from the aftershow of the O2 so haven't really decided what's going on to be perfectly frank."

But there is a ray of light for all the massive fans who showed up to see the return of Brett Anderson, Neil Codling, Simon Gilbert, Richard Oakes and Mat Osman.

Brett told Xfm that it's not the end just yet:

"We all really enjoyed the tour - because we did a European tour leading up to the O2 - and the O2 was really special as well and I think we all enjoying doing this at the moment and so I think in all likelyhood we'll probably carry on doing stuff next year. Specifically we don't really know what yet, to be honest"

The band will be joining Manic Street Preachers, White Lies, Two Door Cinema Club, The Drums and Mona at Xfm's Winter Wonderland with Cuervo Tequila at The O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday night (15th).

As well as performing they'll be recieving the Xfm Inspiration Award - previous winners are Mick Jones and Julian Casablancas.

You can hear all the action on air from 7pm on Wednesday and all the photos, videos, news and gossip will be right here on xfm.co.uk
