Roger Waters: “Gilmour Won’t Reform Pink Floyd”

As ‘The Wall’ goes to Broadway, Roger Waters admits he wanted to reform Pink Floyd.

Roger Water has revealed that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour blocked a full reformation of Pink Floyd. Speaking to the Associated Press, the former bassist said,

“David (Gilmour) is completely disinterested in anything like that”, said Waters. “After Live 8, I could have probably gone for doing some more stuff, but he's not interested, so it is what it is”.

Roger Waters also mentioned that plans to make a musical from The Wall had moved forward after enlisting Billy Elliot’s writer.

“That's still very much in the cards. I have been working on and off for the last year or so with an English writer named Lee Hall, who has become greatly celebrated over here and in London, because he wrote Billy Elliot, which is one of the most successful musicals out there at the moment”
