New Album Career For Nirvana Baby

Spencer Elden goes to work for famed artist Shepherd Fairey.

Shepherd Fairey, the artist behind the ‘Obey’ brand as well as the ‘Hope’ picture of Barack Obama, has employed the baby featured on Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album cover. Spencer Elden, now aged 19, is an intern at Fairey’s ‘Obey’ company and works across a number of areas in the company’s output, including clothes, skateboards and album covers.

Talking about his move into the art world, Elden said:

“I’ve always loved art. My Dad’s an artist – he works in the film industry and makes custom props. I used to help him out when I could.

“Having Shepherd as a boss is pretty awesome. He’s very inspiring”.
