Missing Ash Fan Found Dead In Sydney

The body of Northampton backpacker Sean Kennedy, who went missing last month after attending an Ash gig in Sydney during July, has been found near where he originally disappeared
22 year old former student Sean Kennedy was last seen on July 29 at an Ash gig he went to with his girlfriend Catherine Rowden and two other friends at Sydney’s Metro Theatre. However he was ejected from the venue before the end of the gig following an argument with other members of the audience, and hadn't been seen since.
Ash themselves joined the search for Kennedy last week, issuing a statement requesting that anyone with information to come forward immediately.
Sadly, his body was found early this morning (August 10) by Sydney Water Police in the Cockle Bay region of Sydney Harbour - only a short walk from where he was last sighted.
According to New South Wales police spokesman Norris Smith, initial inquiries indicate there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Kennedy’s death.
"We can confirm that the body of missing British tourist Sean Kennedy has been recovered by the Sydney Water Police at 0730 Eastern Australian time this morning,” Smith explained.
"A post-mortem examination will be held in due course and the investigation is ongoing, but initial enquiries suggest that there are no suspicious circumstances. The body was identified by his parents."
Xfm extend our condolences and our thoughts go out to Sean's family and friends.
