From game-changing groups such as Oasis, Blur and The Stone Roses to new talent such as Peace, Jake Bugg and Foals, whatever way you tune into XFM you're guaranteed to hear the very best rock, indie and alternative music spanning both time and genre.

XFM was launched on London's 104.9 FM in August 1997 and was later joined, in March 2006, by XFM Manchester 97.7. XFM Scotland returned to Paisley and Renfrewshire on 96.3FM in April 2014. You can now listen to us across the country on Digital Radio, online via www.xfm.co.uk or on our mobile apps.

Our presenters have both a passion and a wealth of knowledge about music to share with you; this makes them go the extra mile to surprise and delight with a rich playlist deep in variety.

From the multi-award winning Jon Holmes on the XFM Breakfast Show in London to the long serving John Kennedy (20 years at XFM and counting!), it's our mission to deliver engaging radio through both musical and presenter-led content.

And it's not just about the radio… XFM events bring big bands to small venues, delivering a once in a lifetime chance for the audience to get up close and personal with some of their favourite artists.

There's also XFM's Winter Wonderland - two huge sell-out gigs in London and Manchester that bring together a stunning bill of the very best acts in the world… and it's all in aid of War Child, the charity that provides life-changing support to the most vulnerable children in war zones across the world.

PLUS… XFM.co.uk is the web's top destination for indie, alternative and rock music. You can find out more about the music XFM plays with detailed playlists, artist pages and the XFM X-Lists, which take a sideways look at the tunes you love. There's also all the news, gig information and gossip that our listeners crave, plus the ability to listen back to our world famous specialist shows such as X-Posure and The Remix.
