Tom Waits Sells Out In Minutes

Just 30 minutes after they'd gone on sale, all the tickets for Tom Waits London date (his first show in the capitla for almost 20 years) were snapped up by rabid fans,
All 3400 tickets for Tom Waits’ London show were sold in just 30 minutes of the box-office opening this morning (September 10) making it one of the fastest concert sell-outs in UK music history.
“This was a phenomenal reaction from the fans,” says Paul Charles of Asgard, the promoters of the event. “Indeed, we were inundated with so many applications that it would take a month of concerts to satisfy the demand we’ve had this morning.”
The show is part of Waits’ eight-date 'Real Gone' album European tour, and takes place at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on November 23. It'll be Waits’ first UK appearance since he played at the same theatre almost exactly 17 years before, on November 22 in 1987.
Tom Waits' new album, 'Real Gone', is expected to hit the shops on October 4.
