Vodafone Live Music Awards Winners Announced

The inaugural Vodafone Live Music Awards took place last night at the Roundhouse in London, with Razorlight, Muse, Maximo Park, The Automatic and a bloke called Fatty all taking home prizes.
The newly refurbished Camden venue last night saw a stack of awards being handed out to the very finest live acts in the country… and Take That.
After opening the event with a performance of their number one single ‘America’, Razorlight were awarded the Live Impact Award and Best Live Music DVD.
Elsewhere Maximo Park - who played ‘Apply Some Pressure' for the assembled audience - picked up the Tour of The Year award on behalf of the NME Awards Tour (which also included Arctic Monkeys, who were conspicuous by their absence).
Alongside other winners U2, Muse, Gorillaz and New Rhodes, the first ever Xfm Live Breakthrough Act was awarded – and rightly so – to The Automatic.
The other highlight of the event had to be The Best Tour Roadie accolade, which went to Primal Scream's legendary drum tech, fixer and general trouble-shooter Fatty, who accepted the award “For fat blokes everywhere”.
And finally, The Who were honoured with the Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement in Live Music Award, which was presented by Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Presenters at the ceremony included Michael Eavis, Boy George, Sadie Frost and Avid Merrion, who turned up dressed as Russell Brand.
