The X List 2006

Every summer, we stage our annual mega-poll where we give you the chance to vote for your Top 3 tracks of all time ahead, which will go to form The X List 2006, which is played out on August Bank Holiday Monday.
We had thousands of votes over the past few weeks (and one lucky entrant won weekend tickets for the Reading Festival and a video iPod along the way) and the votes were collated into the huge 104 strong X-List 2006 that got played out on August Bank Holiday Monday.
But who won? Last year Muse make it to Number 1 with 'Hysteria' knocking previous winners Nirvana and Radiohead into second and fourth place while The Killers scored the highest new entry (though 2006 wasn't as kind).
However, this year, Kurt Cobain, Krist Noveselic and Dave Grohl returned to the top of the pile closely followed by the ever-present Muse, Joy Division and The Stone Roses.
As for new entries, it'll be no surprise to see the Arctic Monkeys have made their debut in the X-List just inside the Top 20. Check out the whole list below (last year's positions are in brackets)
