Another Gallagher Supergroup Revealed
After the much hyped (and false) reports about a supergroup of Liam Gallagher, John Squire and Dhani Harrison, comes another story (worryingly from the same source) that Gallagher senior is teaming up with another member of the Stone Roses.
According to The Sun, Noel Gallagher has recorded a song for ex Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown's new album, and the as-yet-untitled track may be the first single off Brown's forthcoming new album.
The story claims the pair met accidentally at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill, West London, started chatting, and decided to do some music together.
"We got talking about music and agreed we should do something'" the tabloid quotes Ian Brown as saying (in a remarkably un-Ian Brown way).
“Noel sent me some music he'd done and I recorded a vocal. The result is brilliant, I'm really excited. I hope it will be a single."
Brown’s new album, the follow up to 2001’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’ is scheduled to be released later this year, in either August or September.
Brown is also playing his first UK show of the year at the Claremont Landscape Garden in Esher, Surrey on July 25 in conjunction with the National Trust.
