Mastodon, metal's great white hopes, turn in a fierce session for Xfm. Here's where you can hear truly awesome tasters from forthcoming album 'Crack The Skye'

They've been nominated for a Grammy, they've shown Metallica and Slayer who's boss while supporting them. Now they've arrived at Xfm to bring their furious metallic rumble to the greatest radio station in the world.

Four session tracks were recorded and each one is a corker. There's two tracks from 'Crack The Skye' ('Divinations' and 'Oblivion'), one from 'Blood Mountain' ('Colony Of Birchmen') and one Melvins cover ('The Bit').
