Wolfmother Split

Having possibly read Trent Reznor’s disparaging comments on Xfm, Wolfmother have decided to call it a day. Shepherds Bush has reportedly descended into anarchy.
Beleaguered Aussie retro rockers Wolfmother have split up, having announced the ‘resignation’ of keyboard/bass player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett. The split is apparently down to ‘longstanding frictions’, although Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor blasting them “a f**king covers band” probably didn’t help much either.
Heroically haired frontman Andrew Stockdale is set to continue under the Wolfmother moniker and is believed to be lining up musicians and new material for future releases. The band had already racked up 1.3 million sales of their self-titled debut album and won a Grammy.
A statement on the band’s website read:
"Andrew Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Chris Ross will make no public statements at this time except to say that they are each really looking forward to making their new music over the years ahead.
"In the meantime they simply ask all Wolfmother fans to please understand that in spite of their best efforts over a long period of time, they just could not find a harmonious way to work together and that has lead to the decisions announced today."
Was Trent Reznor the straw that broke the wolf in camel's clothing's back? Should Nine Inch Nails be the next band to split? Let us know...
