Review The Music At The iTunes Festival

added 18 July 2008 at 15.53

Fancy telling us what you thought of The Music? What about possibly bagging an iPod touch for your troubles? I know, I know, we're too good to you...

The Music have survived all sorts of rock'n'roll fallout to play the iTunes festival at Koko. You could say they've taken the long road and walked it and, after all that, the least you could do is tell us what you thought of the gig.

We're betting it's going to be a blinder. Consistently one of the best live bands around, Robert Harvey and co look set to smash it. Could it be the surprise gig of the festival?

  1. it was a rainy dark day, when we made the long journy from basildon to mornington crescent, we got there early for the fear of getting late and loosing our tickets, it worked in our favour as walking out of the station we got asked if we wanted to be in the audience of the interview with little chris and jodie harsh, so we went for it for the chance of meeting Mr Dave Berry and it worked had a brief chat about the base line in strengh in numbers, i was a bit upset because cage the elephant cancelled, they were replaced by xx teens. They were good but they werent cage the elephant, after running back to the bar to stock up on alcohol contents with out loosing our plot at the front. After sitting through highlites of last years itune festival the music came on and the place exploded (not with pints being thrown) but with amasement of robert harveys danceing, after the inicial reaction of the crowd and the energy the guys came out with, this was going to be a gig in compertition for the best gig of the year, hears the point where i would talk through the set list but to be honest i was to pist to remember the order, but songs that realy stand out in my fuzzy alcoholic memory are the spike, drugs, and strenth in numbers this was my favourite moment, im still getting goose bumps when i hear the base line in the middle. On the tube after we was talking to some guys about the gig and they said it was the best gig hed been to sand he saw rage at rock am ring, so after the reaction of every one im feeling that finaly things have came good for an awsome band, that need more air time on xfm, cant wait for the astoria show!!!

  4. I have been trying to see The Music for nearly ten years and always manage to miss them for one reason or another so looking forward to tonight. That said, I'll only believe it when I see it - plenty could go wrong in the next 45 minutes.

  5. Have been a fan since the firece panda release of Take The Long Road, and am still hooked. On CD they continue to develop as musicians which is replicated live where they have become undoubtedly the BEST live band britain has ever seen, and I mean that because I have seen them all...U2 the Stones, Arctic Monkeys Oasis Muse Kasabian etc etc etc... The Astoria show 2 weeks ago proved that and Im sure tonight they are gonna blow the house down!! Go On Boys!!
