Radiohead To Start Work On New Album ‘Soon’

Those legends from Oxford will head back to the studio after they complete their world tour.

Radiohead finish up their global run-around in Tokyo early next month, and the band want to start work on a seventh studio record straight-off.

Bassist Colin Greenwood told NME: “We’re in Japan next, I’m really excited about it. Then we’ll do some more stuff.

“(We want to) carry on doing some stuff. It was just brilliant in America and it’s been a brilliant year. I came off tour wanting to carry on because it was so much fun!”

The gap between 2003’s 'Hail To The Thief' and last year’s ‘In Rainbows’ was a full four years, though Greenwood added the band won’t take as long this time around.

“There are lots of things that we want to do still, so I hope (to record it sooner rather than later).”

As previously reported, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has Thom Yorke and co on her wishlist to headline next year's festival.
