Name:
Producer Dave (artist formerly known as Chris)

Place of birth:
Stockport (written a song about the place and everything)

Describe your Xfm show in three words:
Ask Danny Wallace

What was your first job?
Paperboy. I once rode into the back of a parked Mini

What's your favourite place in London?
At the moment I’m more than partial to spending my summer evenings in Soho (make of that what you will).

What would be your perfect evening?
A few jars in Camden, a proper top gig somewhere local and then a down and dirty indie disco (Sunta Templeton on the decks, natch)

Who is your favourite band of all time?
Jimmy Eat World. I was an emotional teenager

Which musician would you most like to be, living or dead?
Tom Meighan, Kasabian. Cool as fuck!

What was the first album you bought?
Chesney Hawkes’ self titled debut album. He is NOT just a one hit wonder, kids.

Which is your favourite album of all time?
Oasis – Be Here Now

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Achieving my ‘4th biggest drinker in Britain’ status whilst appearing on Booze Britain: Binge Nation 2.

What is the highlight of your career so far?
Being a part of Xfm’s Japan Disaster Benefit gig at Brixton Academy. Weller, Beady Eye, Primals, Coxon, Kelly Jones, Ashcroft. What a night!

...And what is the low point?
Playing a character called ‘Nu Rave in the Prize Cave’ on Xfm Manchester. I’m praying there is no evidence of this…

If your show was a biscuit, what kind of biscuit would it be?
Milk Chocolate Hob Nob: Trustworthy, well rounded, but not entirely good for you.

What was the first ever gig you went to?
Oasis at Maine Road, 1996. Beat that!

Which bad habit irritates you the most?
When people intentionally play music out loud on their phone as they’re walking down the street. Do they actually think they’re brightening the days of the general public with this act?

What's your favourite film?
It’s A Wonderful Life. Clarence is awesome!

Who is your hero?
Georgiou Kinkladze. The best Manchester City midfielder of all time... or Liam Gallagher.

We're buying - what's your tipple?
Blue Moon wheat beer.

What do you think about when the records are playing on Xfm?
Would I rather have a fridge on my back for life, or have an Elephant called Julian as a close personal friend?

What's in your pockets at the moment?
A lighter, my wallet and a packet of contraceptive pills... Another story for another time.

Is the glass half empty or half full?
Always half full.

What is your best childhood memory?
Catching a squirrel in my back garden with my sister and treating it as a pet... How in God’s name did we ever CATCH a squirrel?

What is the most important thing in life?
Sleep

How would you sum up Xfm in one word?
Unrivalled.
