Carol O Carol

31 October 2011

When a dusty tape of a long forgotten recording showed up at Xfm, little did we know the gem it contained...

Producer Jim, while a student (unsurprisingly), wrote a song about how much he fancied the Queen of Countdown Carol Vorderman.

Yes... really.

And what would his wonderful mates from those wonderous years do with any particular evidence of such exploits?

Send them into the Xfm Manchester Breakfast Show of course!

And what would Tim Cocker from the Xfm Manchester Breakfast Show do with such a recording of afore mentioned song?

Get hold of Carol Vorderman herself and play her the song live on the radio while Producer Jim cringes in a corner.

Of course.

You can listen to her reaction (and the song) below.

Or sing and play along - we've provided the tabs and words - record your own version and send it to jim.salveson@xfm.co.uk - he'll love it. Maybe. Go on, it'll be funny...
