Jesse Hughes arrived at Xfm with a guitar and Queens Of The Stone Age’s drummer. Was it enough to turn in a barnstorming session? Of course it was.
Jesse ‘The Devil’ Hughes brought in Queens Of The Stone Age’s drummer, Joey Castillo, to record an Eagles Of Death Metal session right here at Xfm. ‘Heart On’ had hit the streets, we were loving it, so it seemed a no-brainer to get them in to bang out a few tunes.
They’d already enforced a ‘women only’ policy on a London gig and tales of their debauchery were legendary. What’s not to like, right? When Jesse and Joey finally got down to it, the four songs were pretty special, too.
