The Duke Spirit Live on Music:Response

05 February 2008

Fresh from recording their brand new album 'Neptune' in the middle of the US desert, The Duke Spirit dropped by the Xfm studio to play a few live songs, including a Prince cover.

Formed in an art college in Cheltenham, The Duke Spirit haven't had the easiest route to fame and fortune. Following a label break up early on which postponed the release of their debut album 'Cuts Across The Land' in 2004. They eventually launched themselves in the US and began touring extensively, going from strength to strength and attracting the attention of UK and US fans alike.

Liela, Luke, Dan, Toby and Olly, paid a visit to Steve Harris and delivered a blistering three track live session showcasing singles from their new album 'Neptune' as well as an inspired cover of Prince's 'Take Me With You'. All before shooting off to yet another gig on their busy tour schedule.

Make sure you catch The Duke Spirit as they embark upon a huge UK tour in March and April. Judging by the live session they did for us, it'll be a stonker!

The new album 'Neptune' is out now on You Are Here.
