Joan As Police Woman came in to Xfm to speak to John Kennedy and play a few acoustic tracks. Listen below.
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joan As Police Woman (Joan Wasser to her mam) has worked with a wide variety of world-renowned artists and musicians over the years that she's been writing and performing. These include punk godfather Lou Reed, singer Rufus Wainwright, Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan and many more, but she's best known in her Police Woman guise.
With a new album due in June, Joan came in to talk about her plans for 2008 and about some of the work she's done with other people.
Click below to listen to Joan speaking to our man on the inside John Kennedy and playing a track from her forthcoming release as well as a stunning cover of the Hendrix classic, 'Fire'.
