Cadence Weapon In Session

With a new album due out this month (March 2008) on Big Dada recordings Cadence Weapon accepted the challenge of being X-Posure Artist In Residence
From Canada to the UK and everywhere in between, Cadence Weapon (Roland Pemberton to his mam) has been causing a stir in hip-hop cricles and beyond, showing diversity and originality in a genre all too often labelled as monotonous and image obsessed. It's no surprise then that he's signed to Big Dada, Ninja Tune's leftfield hip-hop offshoot, a label that's long been committed to promoting pigeon-hole resisting music.
It made sense then, to get him (and DJ Weez-l on the one's and two's) into Xfm for an exclusive session as John Kennedy's Artist In Residence. And what a blinder it was too.
