It has been a gradual rise from indie unknowns to chart topping stars for South London's Athlete.
Their second album 'Tourist' went straight in at Number One, largely due to the huge popularity and airplay their sublime single 'Wires' received, which in 2006, won them the Ivor Novello Award for "Best Contemporary Song".
After a near two years of touring in support of their second album they returned to their own recording studio to self-produce the long-awaited follow up 'Beyond The Neighbourhood'.
Released earlier this year it saw Athlete experiementing with a range if styles and influcences and is their most experimental album to date. Listen to some of its finer moment in this exclusive live session performed in sublime acoustic fashion.
