20 Years Of The Stone Roses Podcast
In May 1989 four lads from Manchester released an album which is widely regarded to have changed the face of popular music. It influenced the likes of Richard Ashcroft, Blur and Oasis and became the voice of a generation. That album was the self-titled debut from The Stone Roses. To mark the album's 20th anniversary, 97.7 Xfm Manchester looks back at an album that became a soundtrack to many people's lives. We'll be chatting to two of the people who made the album, bass player Mani and Producer John Leckie. Plus. we'll look at the impact that The Stone Roses had with music journalist John Robb and Nicky and James from Manic Street Preachers.
