We asked you who is the female musician who rocks the most. You answered in your droves. The results are in and the winner is....

Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine!

The singer beat off competition from the likes of Alison Mosshart, Karen O, Debbie Harry and many, many more.

The flame haired one took a midweek lead in our vote that the others were unable to overcome and Xfm is very pleased to declare her THE GREATEST WOMAN WHO ROCKS!

"Thats amazing! Thank you so much, that's incredible!" a very overwhelmed Florence upon finding out.

And what does our winner think it takes to be a woman who rocks?

"It is about doing something unexpected for someone who is perhaps more feminine," she explained. "Perverting the idea of feminity - managing to be vulnerable and powerful at the same time is a big thing in performance - really feeling like you've seen someone giving a big part of themself over to the audience."

But who came second? And Third? And fourth?! Find out with the full list of runners up.
