Josh Widdicombe and the Communion label are just some of the new additions...

Xfm is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new weekend line-up! There are a number of changes across Saturday and Sunday coming throughout January here are some of the highlights...

Josh Widdicombe - Saturdays (10am-1pm) from January 19

As co-host of Channel 4’s The Last Leg and a regular on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo and Stand Up For The Week, award-winning comedian Josh Widdicombe’s brand of infectious and understated humour makes him the perfect addition to the Xfm family.

Josh says: "I am so delighted I have been offered the chance to do this show on a station where I have previously listened to people I love like Adam And Joe, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Also, it's nice to finally be offered a job where I don't have to brush my hair."

Communion Presents… - Sundays (10-11pm) from January 13

Communion is more than just a record label and gig promoter, it’s a flourishing community of musicians and fans alike, often providing a first independent platform for the freshest new artists.

Its club nights have spread out of London and can now be found in cities across the globe. Communion has championed early live performances from the likes of Ben Howard, Deap Vally, Example, Michael Kiwanuka, Gotye and many more.

Every Sunday night from Maz Tappuni from Communion will be sharing the music the label is passionate about, welcoming inspirational artists to the show and delivering an hour packed with live sessions, interviews, gig guides and plenty more.

Elsewhere on the weekend schedule, Jo Good will be presenting The Xfm Review Show for an hour on Sunday nights at 9pm. From bloggers to musicians, journalists to labels, Jo will be joined by some of the biggest movers and shakers in the music industry to review a whole host of new tunes each week.
