Kaisers To Release Stop-Gap Single?

added 14 November 2007 at 15.57

Speaking to Xfm, Kaiser Chief sticksman and songwriter Nick Hodgson hinted at plans to release "the best song we've ever written" in the near future.

Prior to a clutch of Winter arena dates, Nick spoke to Xfm about the band's current escapades, their future plans to release new material - not (gasp) as part of an album - and other such important subjects as the size of Simon's hair, the size of their touring crew and exactly how to stop yourself sneezing. As we said, important stuff.

Speaking about new material, Hodgson commented, "We're going to record [new songs] and then put them out... Albums are a bit boring at the moment, but we'll consider that later... I honestly think it's our best song ever, but I'm not going to tell you what it's called...

"I'm really excited about the new ones because everyone who's heard them, basically in our crew, are going on about them and saying they're the best ones we've ever done... Which is good! " [Listen]

In the rest of the interview Xfm also got an insight into being on tour with the Kaisers, quizzed Nick about the size of bass player Simon's hair, discussed touring Scandinavia surrounded by beautiful people and found out exactly how to stop yourself from sneezing. [Listen]
