Biffy Clyro New Single And Craig David Cover?

Speaking exclusively to Xfm about the release of 'Who's Got The Match' Biffy Clyro revealed they may have some surprising covers up their sleeves.
Having recently covered RnB star Rhianna's hit 'Umbrella' at Mencap's Little Noise Sessions last week (November 23) - a somewhat unexpected choice for the bearded rockers - Xfm were keen to find out if Biffy Clyro had any more surprises in store.
"If the situation arises that we do another cover," bassist James Johnston revealed, "Then we'll come up with something equally exciting. The best way is to pick the least obvious song. So not AC/DC or Guns N Roses or anthing rock.
"Maybe Craig David," he continued, "That way we can start to like a song that we used to hate and do something a bit different."
As for their new single 'Who's Got A Match' - which is due for release on February 4 - Johnston revealed they've departed from their heavier rock sound.
"It's pure pop perfection, we really wanted a song that was really bouncy and in its essence a real pop song. It's simplicity is what makes it a great song, everyone can sing along to it."
"I think that's what makes us interesting as a band, the ability to explore different types of music. It's miles away from our last single ['Machines'] and hopefully people will enjoy it for exactly that reason."
And you can check out Biffy Clyro's new single 'Who's Got A Match' for yourselves on Xfm's Music: Response from 7pm tonight when Steve Harris gives it its first play and catches up with the whole of the band.
