Tribes Inspired By The Libertines and Blur

The band look like they're on course to get in the top ten with their debut album...
Baby - produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, Foals, The Kooks) - came out on Monday.
Talking to Mary Anne Hobbs on Xfm's Music:Response last night frontman Johnny admitted they're enjoying their increasing popularity.
"When we were growing up and we were in Camden it was like The Libertines and Blur and everyone were doing that and we wanted to become on of those bands. Just having an emotional effect on someone with your music is as much as you can hope for and that's what we're trying to achieve."
The album was recorded as if it were live over the space of a week. Johnny reckons that's had a significant effect on the sound of the record.
"It's not perfect by any means - there's loads of little mistakes in there that we left 'cause just the general vibe of the tape was good. We tried to have a human feel that only with Mike Crossey and tape and recording live in Liverpool was going to give us."
Baby is on course to make the top ten this weekend, according to the midweek sales figures.
