Oasis - 'Definitely Maybe'

The Gallaghers begin their swift rise to world domination.
The Gallagher brothers opened their account at the Bank Of Rock'n'Roll with one of the most assured debuts since, well... 'The Stone Roses', we suppose. Fusing glam rock, indie, classic British pop from the '60s and more Beatles references than a night out at The Cavern Club, 'Definitely Maybe' turned the country off grunge and onto Britpop. Packed full of now-classic tunes - 'Shakermaker', 'Live Forever', 'Columbia', 'Supersonic', 'Cigarettes And Alcohol' - it put Oasis on the map and made them one of the biggest British bands of the last 50 years. Next stop - Knebworth!
