XFM is very excited to reveal that we'll be releasing our own limited edition album for Record Store Day 2014 to raise money for War Child.
John Kennedy's X-Posure Sessions on Vinyl will be available - in exchange for a donation to War Child - at selected participating UK Record Store Day shops on 19 April and is limited to 1,000 copies.
The record features previously unreleased recordings from Toy, Savages, Drenge, Daughter and a host of other bands featured on John's X-Posure sessions over the past few years.
War Child has been announced as Record Store Day's official charity for 2014. The charity works globally helping to preventing the most vulnerable children from having their lives torn apart in the cycle of conflict.
Their amazing work supports and protects children living and working on the streets, exploited in the worst forms of child labour and child-survivors of kidnapping and sexual violence.
Spencer Hickman, Record Store Day UK co-ordinator said "We are honoured to be supporting War Child by producing this amazing record.
"This special release does not carry a price tag, but we would encourage anyone who is lucky enough to get their hands on it to make a donation to War Child as a thank you to help them continue to make a difference."

War Child is currently working in Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Uganda and Syria.
Jim Benner of War Child said "War Child are proud and excited to be the charity partner for Record Store Day UK which will enable us to carry out vital work with young people in war zones while also engaging music fans.
"XFM, Proper and DMS have made it possible for John Kennedy to compile a fantastic album which has all the hallmarks of becoming a collector's item. We hope that fans will show their support for their local independent record shop and War Child by making a donation on the day."
John Kennedy said of the record: "The show is 15 years old in 2014 so it's a delight to have a physical incarnation of it to mark the anniversary. It's also good to be able to offer this to you on Record Store Day as way of supporting and highlighting the brilliant work of War Child."
The full Record Store Day 2014 product list will be announced live on XFM on Thursday 20 March from 5.30pm, with exclusive live performances from Tim Burgess of The Charlatans at Piccadilly Records in Manchester and Tom Smith of Editors at Banquet Records in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.
