Sir Paul McCartney has been telling Xfm about his decision to organise a charity fundraiser for the victims of Superstorm Sandy in New York next month.
The benefit gig, which is currently being put together under the name 12.12.12, will take place at Madison Square Gardens.
Sir Paul says he had a great response to the last charity show he organised in the States:
"After 9/11 there was a concert being organised by Harvey Weinstein, a friend of mine, and that was great.
"On the street for days after, people would say: Hey Paul, great thing you did for New York, all you need is love, Paul!"
Also performing at the show will be The Who, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Billy Joel and Roger Waters. There's more info here.
