Mark Ronson Reveals UK Tour

added 15 November 2007 at 11.40

The man with more strings on his bow than a harp - Mark Ronson - has announced a forthcoming UK tour, featuring a ten-piece band and two very special(ish) guests.

The UK jaunt kicks off in Plymouth on Valentines Day (February 14), taking in five more dates before the grand finale at London's Hammersmith Apollo on February 22.

Ronson -
who recently headlined the BBC Electric Proms’ opening night with guest spots from Ricky Kaisers, Tim Burgess, Noel Gallagher and Adele amonst others - will be joined by two of his regular collaborators; Daniel Merriweather and Alex Greenwald.

Merriweather was the vocals behind Ronson's Smiths' cover 'Stop Me' whilst Greenwald - the lead singer of Phanton Planet - provided the vocals on earlier hit 'Just'.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (November 16) at 9am priced at £18.50 (or £23.50 for the London date) and can be purchased from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here.

It seems there's no end to the list of Ronson's ever growing accolades. Having already established himself as a succesful producer, performer, DJ, and promoter he can now also boast to be the only producer ever allowed to mix a Bob Dylan track (with his recent remix of 'Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine)').

Reports that he is also carving himself out a lucrative career as an interior designer, a milliner and a senior marketing consultant for a minor refitter in Cardiff are as yet unconfirmed.

The full dates for the UK tour are as below:

  • Plymouth Pavilions (February 14)
  • Glasgow Carling Academy (15)
  • Manchester Apollo (16)
  • Sheffield Octagon (17)
  • Brighton Dome (21)
  • London Hammersmith Apollo (22)
