Kiss For Download 2008

added 05 February 2008 at 14.08

Get ready to RAAAAWK because Kiss, Offspring, Motorhead and Lost Prophets will be moshing up a frenzy at Download Festival this summer. Full line-up and details below.

Back for its six year of hard rocking musical debauchery, Download will this year play host to Kiss, The Offspring, Lost Prophets, Judas Priest, Motorhead, HIM and Rise Against with more acts to be announced.

Kiss frontman and long-tongued reality TV star Gene Simmons said:

"For 35 years we have prided ourselves in our opening: 'You wanted the best, you got the best, the hottest band in the world'.

"We are throwing down the gauntlet. Let those who are faint of heart, take heed. We will take no prisoners”.

Well that's reassuring, thanks Simmons.

Taking place at Donnington Park over the weekend of June 13, 14, 15, the campsite opens two days earlier (June 11) with a whole host of alternative entertainment on offer.

Last year saw over 75,000 festival goers rock out in the scorching sun for three days to music from the likes of Motley Crue, Linkin Park and Gallows.

5,000 early bird tickets have already been sold but regular tickets go on sale this Friday (February 8) at 9am and will be available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here.

Tickets are priced as follows:

Standard camping: £20
Campervan: £40
Family camping: £20

Special VIP 'RIP' tickets with all the extra trimmings are also available by calling 020 7009 3484
