Kasabian New Album Imminent
Kasabian vocalist Tom Meighan has revealed that the band are just weeks away from completing their third album.
Speaking with the BBC, the singer said that Kasabian were aiming to get their new album completed in the next few weeks. He said:
"Serge [Pizzorno] is back home getting all the bits of our album together and we are getting another guy in to get it finished by the end of the month - we have to get this record done.”
Seemingly ploughing a similar furrow to Graham Coxon, the new record is set to be a concept album. Meighan continued:
“It all joins together which is beautiful, there’s no gaps in it, it’s very psychedelic, there’s very much elements of the first but it’s a more distant sounding Kasabian than we have been with the last two albums.”
Though refusing to be draw on the album's title, he did confirmed that the moniker would be unusual:
“It’s a loony title mate, but we have a couple of titles and we have picked one that has lots of words, it’s a tongue twister!”
The first single from the album is mooted for release in April or May and a few select festival slots may take place.
