Kaiser Chiefs Plan New Releases

Kaiser Chiefs have revealed that they plan to veer away from traditional album releases and hope to get a series of mini-albums and EPs out in 2008.
Drummer and 'Chief'-songwriter (pun most intended) Nick Hodgson explained that he believes he was tired of simply releasing an album releases every two years.
He told NME:
“We mentioned mini-albums and double EPs, but we’ve got no fixed plans yet. We’ve got the songs though, which is good."
“We want to break the routine of having to make an album every two years. It’s totally boring. In the charts there are tons of indie bands playing chords and singing songs about the weekend. We’re going to be doing the opposite and being the best.”
The thrice-Brits-2008-nominated band have already tested a couple of new tracks on audiences at recent gigs, including ‘You Want History’ and ‘Never Miss A Beat’ with positive reactions.
“When we played them the crowd were excited,” Hodgson revealed. “The reaction when we finished playing shocked us, because we’ve never had that with a new song before.
