Hard-Fi Joined By Clash Legend

added 07 February 2008 at 12.18

Richard Archer and his Merry Men were joined by legendary Clash guitarist Mick Jones at their Koko gig last night (February 7).

The Staines quartet were augmented by Jones for a rousing rendition of The Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go'.

Introducing the guitarist as his "personal hero", Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer then enticed Jones to return to the stage to play on 'Living For The Weekend'.

Introducing the song, Archer said:

"It may be a Wednesday night but it feels like a Friday night here in Koko!"

Mick Jones continues his Friday night residency at Ladbroke Grove's Inn On The Green this week (February 8) with new band Carbon/Silicon.

Formed with ex-Generation X bassist Tony James, the pair were recently joined by erstwhile Clash drummer Topper Headon. It was the first time Jones and Headon a played publicly in 25 years.
