Happy Mondays, The Fratellis and Inspiral Carpets have been confirmed for next month's spectacular Versus Cancer gig in Manchester.

It's also been announced that Fun Lovin' Criminals have been added to the bill at the charity event on February 23 at the MEN Arena.

Now in its third year, the event aims to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research. Organised by former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke, Versus Cancer has previously been headlined by Manchester legends New Order

Ticket for the shows are on sale now and can be purchased from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by here.

Speaking of the event, Rourke recently said:

"This year’s gig is going to be talked about for years to come.

“We’ve got some of the biggest bands of the moment lined up as well as some legendary acts.”

As previously reported, Versus Manchester is expected to see the live debut by Freebass, the Manc supergroup formed by bassists Peter Hook (New Order), Mani (Primal Scream) and Andy Rourke.

Rumours persist that they will be co-fronted by Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher and former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown.
