Dodgy Gave Ian Brown His Nickname

Nigel from Dodgy has told Xfm that they came up with Ian Brown's 'King Monkey' moniker...
Apparently they created the nickname back in their Britpop hey day while trying to get back at a reporter who'd given them a bad review.
"The press phoned us up and said 'you're in the studio with The Stone Roses, tell us what they're doing!'" Nigel explained. "Matthew went away and wrote loads of things and got back to them and said they're doing a version of 'Oops Upside Your Head' and Ian Brown will only answer to the name King Monkey and that was it."
