The BRITS Party takes place on February 19 - two days before the awards ceremony - and features Ed Sheeran as headliner plus a special acoustic set from Blur men Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon.

"War Child does amazing music events for such a great cause," said Ed Sheeran "to be asked to play this year is an absolute honour."

Xfm's Tip for 2012 Dry The River are also playing the show at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire from 8pm.

Xfm is the official radio partner of the annual party - which has raised more than £500,000 in the last three years.

Ben Knowles, Music Director of War Child, says: "War Child's annual BRIT Awards show has become a unique and important date in the music calendar, with some of the biggest and best musical talent coming together to support War Child.

"We believe music can make a difference, it can change lives. This year's amazing line-up will prove that - it will make for a stunning, unforgettable night and one that will raise money to help thousands of children affected by war. We?re very grateful to all the acts and O2 for their fantastic support."

Tickets go on sale Saturday (February 4) at 9am.
