Coldplay: New Album & Tour

added 13 December 2007 at 15.28

Chris Martin and his Merry Men are in the final stages of planning a world tour to accompany their new album.

Writing on their website, Coldplay have announced that they're in the final stages of their new album with producer Brian Eno. Work on the disc has continued throughout this year and it will be the band's first release since 2005's 'X & Y'.

Chris Martin says that the plans are still at the discussion stage. In a posting on Coldplay's website, the singer writes:

"One minute we're over the moon about a new art-work idea, the next we're all gloomy about our slow progress in designing the live show.

"We're trying to pull all the threads together and get these songs (and all the hoopla that goes with them) ready to present to the big wide world."

No release date has been given but we'll let you know just as soon as we hear.
