Blur and Ed Sheeran Triumph At BRIT Awards 2012

Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Lana Del Rey also take home prizes...

Blur brought the BRIT Awards 2012 to an impressive close with an eleven-minute set of classic songs, including Boys And Girls, Song 2, Tender and This Is A Low. The legendary band received the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award and were joined onstage by actor Phil Daniels for their traditional rendition of Parklife.

Adele won Best British Female and was given Album Of The Year by George Michael, although presenter James Corden had to cut short her acceptance speech to make way for Blur's set.

Foo Fighters bagged the Best International Group gong. Coldplay were the recipients of Best British Group.

Also performing on the night was Ed Sheeran, who took home two awards - Best British Male and Best British Breakthrough Artist. Noel Gallagher, meanwhile performed AKA What A Life, accompanied by Coldplay's Chris Martin on piano.
