The renowned radio DJ and music journo joins our line-up this summer...

Xfm is very proud to announce that Mary Anne Hobbs is going to host a primetime Saturday night slot from this summer.

The legendary DJ began her radio career right here and has since become known for being at the forefront of groundbreaking alternative music and has been credited with - the massive acolade of - breaking UK dubstep.

Hobbs also recently worked with director Darren Aronofsky on the soundtrack to multi award-winning movie Black Swan.

ANNNNNDDDDD she is set to DJ on the main stage at next month's Coachella festival!

Mary Anne's told us she is "thrilled" to be returning to the Xfm fold (and we are all thrilled to have her here!) and has promised "future sounds and guest mixes from some of the most forward thinking artists on earth" every Saturday night from this summer.

Fans should be prepared for "a no holds barred blitz of new music personally selected by me with a focus on pushing the frontiers and breaking new boundaries" from July 9.

She will also be presenting a series of audio and video postcards from her American tour - which takes place in April - right here on xfm.co.uk

Let the homecoming commence!
