U2 To Sell Off 360° Stage Set

Irish megastars will get rid of the claw...
U2 are to sell off their huge "claw" stage set, once their 360° Tour comes to a close.
The band own four separate versions of the stage, which cost between 15 and 20 million pounds to build, which allow the crew to set up the show in four different cities at once. But, when the tour comes to a close on July 30 in Moncton, California, the elaborate construction will be flogged off.
The '2's tour director Craig Evans told Billboard: "It's certainly our intention to see these things recycled into permanent and useable ventures. It represents too great an engineering feat to just use for the tour and put away in a warehouse somewhere.
"They're something you can put up on a waterfront and become an instant skyline icon. We know that the inquiries will keep coming in. Having been part of the biggest tour of all time, they're pretty well tried and tested."
