Trent Reznor Adds Oscar to Collection

The Nine Inch Nails frontman already has a Golden Globe in his collection....
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have won an Oscar for their score to The Social Network.
The Nine Inch Nails frontman and composer followed up their success at the Golden Globes by walking away with the award for Best Original Score at the star-studded Hollywood bash last night.
Reznor beat off stiff competition from the likes of A R Rahmann for 127 Hours, John Powell for How To Train Your Dragon, Alexandre Desplat for The King’s Speech and of course Han Zimmer’s score for Inception which featured contributions from The Cribs former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
Accepting his award last night Reznor said: “Wow. Is this really happening? When we finished, we were very proud of our work and happy to just be involved in this film, and to be standing up here in this company humbling and flattering beyond words.”
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will next continue their work with David Fincher, composing the score for the director’s upcoming English-language version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its sequels, due for release in December 2011.
