According to The Sun lead singer Justin Hawkins has buried the hatchet with his brother, lead guitarist Dan, five years after the band split up.
The warbler left the group after battling with a drug problem - before going on to form Hot Leg.
The remainder of The Darkness became Stone Gods.
Following luke-warm to tepid careers for both bands it's thought Darkness fans can expect a third album in the near future as well as festival appearances.
