The filmmaker will document the story of the reunion...

Shane Meadows is to make a film of the hugely-anticipated Stone Roses reunion. The Independent reports that the director of This Is England and Dead Man's Shoes is "in discussions" to capture the whole story of the band's reformation, which was announced last week.

Meadows was spotted at the high-profile press conference for the Roses last week, kicking off the speculation and it's being reported that Sheffield-based Warp Films are behind the project.

The band are to play three sold-out shows in Manchester's Heaton Park next June. Rumours of a full European tour have since surfaced on the internet, including dates at London's O2 and the Liverpool Echo Arena, but the promoters of the shows have told Xfm that they have no comment to make.
