Roger Daltery Reveals Cancer Scare

added 13 January 2011 at 17.08

It comes ahead of a star studded line up of bands playing the "Killing Cancer" concert in London tonight (January 13).

The campaign aims to raise funds for research into a new non-invasive treatment called Photodynamic Therapy (PDT).

It destroys cancer cells in only one session.

Daltrey, who is also a patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, is hopeful about the new treatment:

"I'm really interested in any drug that can reduce the side effects in treatments and the early trials on this... it looks like it is a large step forward."

Richard Ashcroft, Debbie Harry and Jeff Beck are also on the bill at the Hammersmith Apollo.
