Prince Was Booked For Glastonbury 2011

However, the Purple One changed his mind...
Prince was originally set to play this year's Glastonbury, Michael Eavis has revealed.
The organiser of the festival told the Daily Star: "I tried to get Prince earlier on. At one point he was, then he wasn't, then he was. It was a question of a bird in the hand.
"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, if not three in a bush. In the end I went for the bands we have on the bill now, which isn't bad."
But even though Mr Prince won't be appearing in Somerset in June, he will headline the Hop Farm festival on July 3. "I think I must’ve set that one up," chortled Mr Eavis.
