After they reformed with out him the former New Order bassist has declared war...

The legendary Manchester band are to play two shows in October in Belgium and Paris in aid of video producer and artist Michael Shamberg.

Original keyboardist Gillian Gilbert is returning for the first time in over a decade, but bass viking Hook is not part of the line-up after acriminiously falling out with the other members in 2007.

In a statement when the news was first announced last month Peter Hook made clear that it wouldn't be the same without him.

"Everyone knows that NEW ORDER without PETER HOOK is like QUEEN without FREDDIE MERCURY, U2 without THE EDGE, SOOTY without SWEEP!" he exclaimed.

He went on to say that he did not agree with the way the others had gone about organising the reunion, describing it as "very sad."

But now in an interview with Spinner Peter Hook is striking an angrier tone.

The bassist has described how the criticism he got for deciding to play Joy Division songs with his new band The Light made him more determined... as has his old band getting back together without him.

He told the website, "[it] makes me all the more determined to f*** New Order over in any possible way I can. If they think I'm just going to scuttle off to a cabin in the woods, they've got another thing coming. They're dickheads. People go and hide, but I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm going to come out fighting."

New Order will play together for the first time in five years at the Ancienne Belgique on October 17 and the Paris Bataclan the following day.
